Opportunities Theatre Company is interested in exploring the journey of disabled people, focusing on a 68 year old male who recently suffered a stroke which has resulted in him being left paralysed and severely disabled. The short film will show his life before the accident compared to his poor quality of life now. The film will also look at the daily struggles he faces that abled people take for granted such as getting himself dressed and eating a meal. Not only will it focus on the individual challenges he faces but also the problems the public may cause for him when using a disabled toilets and parking spaces when they do not need to.

This performance will be based on my mums husband who had a stroke in 2021 and was sadly left paralysed. In the film, I will be showing his life before the stroke compared to his quality of life now.
