Commemorating Previous Years

As Artistic Director of The White Swan Fringe Fest my aim is to create a clear vision for the festival, whilst also forming an inclusive and diverse working and performing space where togetherness is celebrated. Delving into the logistics of the festival and the multitude of tasks surrounding the creation of a Fringe Fest is something I look forward to expanding and developing skills in. 
 

Having experience in last years White Swan Fringe Fest and different events within the Portsmouth Guildhall I feel well equipped to create and run a successful fringe fest especially with the collaboration of skills throughout the production team. 
 

I am excited to see the development and creative processes our company’s will bring to the Festival and am grateful to be working alongside such a talented group!

Millie

As Technical Director of the White Swan Fringe Festival it is my mission to ensure all performances are equipped and ready with the technical requirements that will best enhance the experience of their audiences. 

 

My main aims will be having regular meetings with each companies head of design, watching some rehearsals and recommending technical advice for scenes, confirm all companies have a cue sheet and it is in the correct format and organising a dedicated props and set space for all companies 

 

Having previous experience at last year's White Swan Fringe festival as a tech operator and stagehands. With this experience I went on to work at Edinburgh Fringe for Pleasance Theatre in the role of tech crew. This year at our festival I will be expanding my expertise in stage management and technical theatre to gain the knowledge and skills to run my own venue independently. 

 

I am excited to see what the companies will bring to the festival and feel fortunate to be able to work alongside so many talented artists. 

 

Matt

As Marketing Director of White Swan Fringe Fest I aim to promote all the incredible companies and performance we have this year, ensuring that all updates and information is on all platforms and our website. I also aim to provide help for the companies own promotions and monitoring the companies at all stages of development.

Having experience in media running my old dance pages has helped me to gain the basic skills needed to be able to gravitate an audience and get engagement on our platforms, to hopefully get White Swan Fringe Fest noticed by a wide range of audiences.

I can't wait to see the companies start on their creative journeys with their shows this year and I am excited to be able to share it all on our platforms, as well as working with my fellow production team to bring all of our ideas for the festival to life. I am also looking forward to working alongside so many talented individuals this year!
